NAGOYA, Japan - Twenty-five cabs leave Kyoto-based taxi operator MK Co.'s subsidiary in Nagoya July 17 as company officials see them off. The unit began offering initial meter charges of 500 yen, about 20% cheaper than other taxi firms here, as competition in the taxi industry intensifies.
